Why Africa should even be on your radar as an investor, and why I believe more of us need to start looking beyond the States.
How much money you actually need to start investing in Africa (you may be surprised by how accessible things can be)
Where are the opportunities? Details on countries, industries, and markets investors are paying attention to.
How to decide if an opportunity actually makes sense. The questions I ask before I even put my money into any investment.
What are the risks? We’re not going to romanticize investing in Africa. You need to understand what can go wrong.
How to start thinking like a global investor and begin looking for opportunities beyond what you’ve been told about.
You’ve been curious about investing in Africa but don’t know where to begin.
You want to diversify your investments
You’ve heard about Real Estate opportunities, stocks, and other private investments in Africa but aren’t sure how people actually access them.
You want to understand how to properly analyze an opportunity without blindly putting money into something you don’t fully understand.
You want to learn how to ask better questions and evaluate opportunities for yourself.

You're looking for a get-rich-quick investment.
You're looking for someone to tell you what to buy instead of learning how to evaluate opportunities yourself.
You aren't willing to learn before you risk your money .
You’re afraid to invest outside of the U.S
You’re looking for risk free investments or guaranteed returns (there’s no such thing).

I’m Katiana Carré, founder of Sawa Sawa, full time investor and financial educator, with a Master’s degree in Finance.
For more than a decade, I’ve helped women better understand money, investing and wealth building, without making finance feel intimidating or complicated.
Furthermore, my own investing journey eventually took me beyond traditional U.S. investments.
I’ve spent years studying global investing, attending investment conferences, building relationships with investors and professionals, exploring opportunities internationally, and investing in real estate in Africa myself.
What I’ve learned is that there is an entire world of investment opportunities most everyday investors never learn about.
My goal isn’t to tell you what to invest in. It’s to help you understand what’s out there, how global investors think, and how to begin exploring opportunities for yourself.

It is beneficial to have a basic understanding of general investing before taking this class. You don’t need to be an expert, and you definitely don’t need to have experience investing internationally, but if words like stocks, real estate, returns, or diversification are completely new to you, some parts may seem a little too advanced, either way you’ll be fine.
Africa has 54 plus countries, so we’re definitely not going to try to cover the entire continent in one class. I’ll introduce you to some of the countries, markets and opportunities worth knowing about and, more importantly, help you understand what you should be looking for when you’re exploring a new market.
If you register, I'll do my best to provide a replay, but I highly encourage attending live. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions, participate in the discussion, and hear details about the next step for those who want to continue learning.
Every investment has some sort of risk. There are risks when you invest in the U.S. too. The important thing is understanding what those risks are. We’re not going to romanticize investing in Africa or pretend every opportunity is a good one. I want you to understand both sides, the opportunities and the things you need to be careful about.
It depends on what you’re investing in. There are different ways to participate at different levels, and we’re going to talk about what some of those options actually look like. There are opportunities that you can start with less than $10k and of course some higher than that.
Yes, it’s really free. There’s no catch. I genuinely want to introduce more people to the possibilities that exist when you start looking at investing beyond the U.S. At the end of the class, I will tell you about an opportunity to continue learning with me inside the Private Wealth Circle, but there’s absolutely no obligation to join. Come to the class, learn, take notes, ask questions, and if you decide you want to go deeper with me afterward, beautiful.
